This is oil painting - wet on wet (so nothing dries between colors). It can be a little tricky, but it is super fun to do. We just made up our own pictures as we went along. Here is what we got. Here we are about half way through the project.
Here is Charity adding trees to her painting.
Here is Breanna with her finished painting. Didn't she do a great job? I think her mountains turned out well!
Here is Charity proudly displaying her completed painting! Beautiful!
Here is Melodee showing off her finished masterpiece.
This was my demo. Now, what do I do to safely dry 4 wet oil paintings for the next 6 weeks or so....
I love to paint and it is even more fun teaching my kids. Just before we finished up on of the older kids came up and saw the paintings and was thoroughly amazed! I have to agree, the kids did some awesome paintings!!! I love the happiness and joy I see reflected in the faces of my children when they learn new skills and in this case are able to show them off a bit. I can hardly wait for phase 2 of the art classes to begin when we paint with the older kids!
Awesome work!!! I want to come to your art classes!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Claudelle. I've got some pretty good little artists don't I!
